The Crane Project
The "nest"
Students from Orange County Schools folded paper cranes as part of the Students Rebuild/DoSomething.org worldwide challenge to raise money for the victims of the March 11 Japan earthquake. The response far exceeded the hopes and dreams of the organizers, with $500,000 pledged to date. Students at our school nearly doubled the 150 crane goal we set for ourselves, thanks in no small part to the leadership of one of our fourth graders. Way to go, Jo'Keah!
